Get over it - nothing will happen. It’s also not like David wanted to sell Tumblr either. He needed to sell it because the cost to run and maintian this massive site were getting so large that they couldn’t keep up with it. Tumblr would have been shut down completely if it wasn’t for Yahoo buying them out.

And Yahoo won’t start changing things. Maybe a few minor things here and there, but nothing drastic. If Yahoo changed it enough to make people leave, then that would dimish the value of the site that THEY paid for. Do you really think a large company would do that?

And stop hating on David. All of you are the most hypocritical assholes I’ve ever seen. You all say you want equality, the right to do anything, where you can “be yourself” and call this a “home” - yet if someone makes their own choice and you don’t like it they get completely hated and shunned for it. David (and whoever else was involved) made his own choice and did what he thought was right. The fact that your hating a completely innocent man for do what he wanted and thought was best for his own goddamn website is website is stupid.

All of you need to manthefuckup and get over it. Things happen and things change - but sometimes it’s for the best. David is still the creator of Tumblr.He’s the man who started it out and made this for you guys - for nothing. He’s the same man he’s always been and this is stil the same site. Expect change here and there, but you guys are seriously WAY over dramatic about it all.

Yahoo has closed down websites that they bought for billions after they ran them into the ground.

There is no need to hate on David, but Tumblr could be in trouble.

No no no no no no no. NO.

I don’t kNOw about the rest of you, but I’m not happy with yahoo. Not only do they have a track record with destroying sites, but there is little chance they won’t greatly impact tumblr. Yahoo has a no porn policy, as well as not allowing swearing in yahoo answers. My blog, or your blog may not be filled with that type of content but plenty are and that will change things.
I like tumblr the way it is. I can express myself and get good feedback, but a little ball of stress is forming in my stomach and telling me things don’t look good.
